KUCHING: Affin Bank Berhad is poised to strengthen its foothold in Sarawak with the planned establishment of up to 10 new branches.

Affin Bank Berhad president and group chief executive officer Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah said currently, the bank operates six branches in Sarawak – three in Kuching, and one each in Sibu, Bintulu and Miri.

The forthcoming expansion will incorporate the introduction of the triple banking branch concept, integrating Affin Bank, Affin Islamic, and Affin Hwang Investment Bank under one roof.

“We recently opened the triple banking branch at Northbank Kuching, which commenced operations last month, that adopts a financial supermarket model, offering a comprehensive range of banking products and services.

“In addition to Northbank, I am pleased to announce the imminent opening of our second branch – the Affin Springfield branch in Bintulu, scheduled to commence operations in August,” he said during the Affin Group Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri at Riverside Majestic Hotel on yesterday (May 8).

Aside from that, Wan Razly also announced that the Affin Bank’s mobile financial centre (MFC) is scheduled to start operations by the end of this month.

“These initiatives demonstrate our commitment to delivering unrivalled customer service, as demonstrated by our commendable Net Promoter Score (NPS) of +69.
