KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Bhd bagged the Airline Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) Experience Award for its in-flight connectivity platform, Rokki, at the Inflight Asia Pacific Awards 2018 on Nov 8.

In a statement yesterday, the airline said it edged out full-service carriers Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, Saudia, El Al Israel Airlines and Sri Lankan Airlines for the honour.

“This achievement is testament to the complete digital experience offered by Rokki.

“With our Internet, entertainment and shopping services, passengers can enjoy an enhanced in-flight experience, while staying connected, making their journey as seamless as possible, as if they never left the ground,” said Rokki Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Lalitha Sivanaser.

Meanwhile AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes said as a platform, Rokki would deliver AirAsia’s growing e-commerce offering to over 90 million guests annually.
