LIMBANG: Alert nearby residents managed to prevent a fire from spreading and destroying a house in Kampung Tedungan yesterday afternoon.
Ten firemen from the Limbang fire station were immediately despatched to the scene in response to an emergency alert at 3.36pm.
Upon their arrival, they found the fire had engulfed the house 100 per cent but fortunately, quick action by at least 10 people in the surrounding areas managed to save another nearby house from being gutted by the fire.
No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident as all victims managed to run to safety when the fire broke out.
The actual cause of the fire is still being investigated.
The fire was completely put out at 4.31pm.
