MUKAH: Alfie Khan Abdul Aziz Khan was crowned champion of Mr Kaul Mukah 2017 at the Kala Dana Beach on last Saturday.
With the victory, Alfie received the Champion of Champions Trophy presented by Balingian Assemblyman, Abdul Yakub Arbi.
Meanwhile, Mr Kaul of the Mukah Kaul Festival 2017 for the category of 164.9 cm and below, the first place was won by Mohamad Khairul Semion and received a cash prize of RM500.
Faizal Mustapha finished second to take home a cash prize of RM300 and third place was won
by Adrian Christ Gim who received RM200.
For the category of 165 cm and above, Alfie Khan Abdul Aziz Khan emerged sas the champion to win a cash prize of RM500, Roger Wong Hing Ming came in second to receive RM300 and Rani Alwiee third to receive RM200.
The event which is divided into several categories received an overwhelming response from the locals despite it being one of the newest events during the Melanau biggest festival here.
