All benefitted from RTP project

KUCHING: Meluan assemblyman Rolland Duat Jubin makes it a point to ensure that all longhouse people in his constituency benefit from Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects.

“As the people’s representative, I serve to solve problems in Meluan constituency. We want continuous development, especially through RTP,” he said during a visit to Rumah Menyimbang at Sungai Ridan Ulu Entaih in Julau on Tuesday (April 13).

The 44-door longhouse is being upgraded at cost of RM150,000 provided under the 2021 RTP.

One of the living units was repaired using a fund from the Sarawak Poor People’s House Improvement Programme (PPRMS) 2020 for Meluan constituency.

At the same function, Rolland presented a cheque for RM15,000 to Rumah Menyimbang Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK).

After that he visited a similar project at Rumah Awar, Tekalong, Ulu Entaih, Pakan where is 12-door longhouse is upgraded at a cost of RM50,000.

From there Rolland and his entourage moved on and visited a road project connecting SK Ulu Entaih to Rumah Enchana/Rumah Meru/Rumah Sumping.

The road has been upgraded with an allocation of RM305,000 under the 2017 RTP.
