KUCHING: Nearly five million Malaysians have registered in the Central Database Hub (PADU) to date.
PADU on its official Facebook page said the total registration has reached 4.83 million as of 11.59 pm on Mar 14.
They also extended its appreciation to the nation’s citizens who have updated their information in the PADU system.
Selangor recorded the highest registration with 730,000 out of 4.83 million Malaysians.
Meanwhile, to date, Sarawak boasts the second-highest number of registrations at 610,000 out of 4,830,000 registrants.
PADU was developed locally, using the internal expertise of the Ministry of Economy, Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) as well as the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU).
Various government ministries, agencies, and state governments also contributed to the development of the database.
One of the benefits of registering with PADU is to ensure that eligible citizens do not miss out on receiving targeted subsidies, assistance, and social protection through the PADU system.
Registration for PADU is open until March 31. For more details, the public can visit https://www.padu.gov.my/.
