SIBU: The body of an unidentified man was found in the Rajang River, not far from the Sri Rejang Camp on Monday (Oct 11).

Sibu police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said it was discovered by a man fishing near the camp.

“The body stuck at the bottom of an anchored ship was found by the man who was fishing at a jetty near the camp around 2.50pm today.

“We rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call pertaining to the find around 3pm,” he said.

Initial examinations by the police found a tattoo of the Nazi symbol on the left thigh.

Stanley said the body was brought to the Sibu Hospital for an autopsy.

Any members of the public who have lost a family member are urged to come forward to any police station or to contact the nearest police station.
