KUCHING: Local animators can now gain more knowledge related to their field by watching ‘Director’s Cut’ on TVS.

On air at 3.15pm every Sunday, the show which features Gregory Wee as the host, discusses how Sarawak’s creative industry can move further forward especially in animation.

In this 30-minute programme, Gregory also discussed what needs to be done to make Sarawak an animation centre and how TVS can play a key role in raising public interest and becoming a platform for local creative industry players to showcase their work.

This show, among other things, aims to develop a local animation community where Gregory will invite special guests who are also animation experts and players from all over the country.

Among the topics discussed were ecosystem development, branding and promotion, investment, market access and business cooperation, financing and incentives, talent development and replenishment as well as inter-regional cooperation.

TVS chief executive officer Suhaimi Sulaiman said realising that Sarawak has many local animation activists, TVS intends to promote them.
