KUCHING: New and startup entrepreneurs can use Anjung Usahawan as an incubation centre to kick-start their enterprise.
Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said the entrepreneurs who are just starting out may use the centre as their business address.
“We will plan accordingly so that the Anjung Usahawan, which we have done, will have space that can be used for an incubator.
“Anyone in rural areas and villages who are interested in doing business and setting up a company can use it as their company’s address,” he said.
He was officiating at an entrepreneurship programme, ‘Income Generating Techniques through Digital Technology Platform’ at a leading hotel in Lawas last Wednesday.
Awang Tengah, who is also International Trade and Industry, Industrial Terminal and Entrepreneur Development Minister, said the state government is also looking to set up an aquatic centre in the area which will benefit the youth.
“Its purpose is to be a centre for our young people who want to get involved in online business. This is in the design stage with allocation from the Northern Regional Development Agency (NRDA),” he said.
Also present were Limbang Resident Ahmad Denney Ahmad Fauzi and Lawas district officer Ladin Atok.
