KUCHING: An anonymous donation of food supply and daily necessities has been made to Kuching South City Council (MBKS) to be distributed to underprivileged families and individuals living in urban areas.

According to MBKS, the donation made yesterday was from a female resident of Pending here and was arranged by Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Youth central secretary-general Milton Foo.

The donated items included rice, biscuits, dry food, canned food, sugar, salt, cooking oil, beverages and some daily necessities such as toothpaste and soap ― totalling 80 packs worth RM62.98 each.

The effort was made in order to help the underprivileged go through challenging times caused by the Covid-19 outbreak as well as the movement control order (MCO).

MBKS mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng expressed his gratitude towards the donor who requested to remain anonymous.

“It shows that our society is warm-hearted and filled with love.

“Let’s work together to fight against the pandemic and we shall win at the end if we stand united and help each other during this difficult moment,” he said.
