MIRI: The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) was kept busy last night, having to destroy a hornet’s nest the size of a football, hanging from a tree at a plywood company compound in Kuala Baram.
An alert 33-year old man on his routine inspection rounds spotted the nest and promptly notified the APM.
“A three-team member arrived at the scene at 8.24 pm on Thursday and took about 40 minutes to destroy the nest by spraying insecticide.
“The operation ended around 9.03 pm,” said an APM spokesman.
