BETONG: A 10-foot long crocodile has the Civil Defence Force (APM) to thank for after it was literally ‘let off the hook’ by the rescuers.
The reptile got itself ensnared by a huge fishhook at the riverbank in Kampung Hilir and was unable to move.
APM personnel were alerted to the crocodile’s predicament at 8.23 am this morning.
A team managed to safely secure the crocodile before handing it over to the Sarawak Forest Department.
