KUALA BARAM: The Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) was called in to remove a hornet’s nest from outside a house in Kampung Muhibbah here yesterday (July 13).
A 43-year-old male was gathering wood around the compound of his house when he noticed the menacing nest beneath the roof of his house.
“Fearing for his safety, he alerted APM around 1.29 pm and a team of five personnel arrived at the scene shortly,” APM said.
The APM personnel came across a nest the size of a football and proceeded to use insecticides to neutralise the insects before bringing down the nest.
