APM saves cobra in home garden

MIRI: A one-meter-long cobra was rescued today after being found beneath the ground on the backyard side of a house in Kampung Luak 1.

The venomous snake was discovered by the 67-year-old homeowner while gardening.

“I was tending to my garden when I noticed something unusual under the ground,” the homeowner recalled.

He immediately contacted the Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) for assistance.

Responding to the call at approximately 2.22 pm, a team from the Miri APM quickly arrived at the scene. Using specialised equipment, they successfully captured the cobra.

After its capture, the cobra was safely released back into its natural habitat.
