MIRI: Thanks to the Civil Defence Force (APM) a wasp nest was removed after it was discovered on a tree in Jalan Riam last evening (Mar 5).
APM personnel rushed to the area after responding to a call from a 39-year-old female who discovered the nest in front of her house.
According to a spokesman, the nest which was the size of a Perodua Kancil tyre was found on a tree adjacent to the complainant’s house.
Afraid that she would be stung by the wasps, the woman wasted no time alerting APM.
Four officers were deployed to the scene and they safely removed the nest.
It took them less than 20 minutes to complete the task.
The operation ended at 9.17 pm.
