BAU: Residents in the Serembu constituency are urged to respond to the transformation of fertigation technology in increasing their agricultural yield

Serembu assemblyman Miro Simuh said that the fertigation technology is not only a simplified method of planting but, at the same time, reduces the cost of labour.

According to Miro, income could also be increased through the production of agricultural products.

“I hope that the community in the village will change their ‘mindset’ to fear failure and try to carry out modern agricultural activities by using fertigation technology,” he said.

Miro said this at the Fertigation, Hydroponics Course and the African Swine Disease (ASF) talk at Serembu Ecopark recently.

Meanwhile, Miro said the transformation of fertigation technology is in line with the Sarawak government’s desire to expand the concept of modern agriculture, especially in rural areas.

In the same event, Miro also handed over certificates of appointment to the 43 secretaries of the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) in Serembu and certificates of appointment to four new village heads.
