Notice from Kapit Health Clinic

KAPIT: Children and teenagers aged 12 to 17 can now book their appointments to get the Covid-19 vaccine.

According to Kapit District National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) coordinator Dr Adeline Alina Dihom, parents or guardians who have children with chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, asthma, thalassemia, seizures, and heart disease were asked to contact the Kapit Health Clinic to book appointments.

“The clinic can be contacted at 084-797435 or 084-797432 during office hours.

“Parents and guardians do not have to worry because a pre-vaccination assessment will be done by the medical officers based on their children’s current health status, medical history, allergies and medications that they are taking,” she explained.

As for individuals aged 18 and above who have not yet received the first dose, they can come directly to the Kapit Health Clinic on Monday to Thursday from 8am to 4pm and on Friday from 8am until 11am.
