KUCHING: Employees who have already obtained police permits and authorisation letters from their employers can use them at police roadblocks, said the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

“These permits and letters remain valid, and you do not need to obtain a new one from the police.

“I have spoken with Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Aidi Ismail, and he agreed with our decision,” he said in response to public queries on the validity of such documents obtained earlier.

Once again he appealed to everyone to stay home unless they have very compelling reasons to go out.

He said by staying home, they would help to curb the spread of Covid-19 within the community
