KUCHING: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Youth (Armada) Sarawak lauded the announcement that the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) state government has left the decision on the appropriate date for the dissolution of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (DUN) to the wisdom of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong after discussing with the Sarawak Head of State.

“Armada Sarawak upholds the wisdom of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the Sarawak Head of State whereby any decision that will be made in the future is a consideration that takes into account the interests of the people of Sarawak.

“This is also enshrined in Articles 13 and 15 of the Emergency (Essential Powers) Ordinance 2021,” said Armada Sarawak Information Unit in a statement yesterday.

On another matter, given the worrying Covid-19 situation in Sarawak lately, Armada Sarawak hoped that efforts could be further mobilised and enhanced, especially involving the cooperation of state government agencies and federal agencies to curb Covid-19 transmissions.
