MUKAH: Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo has described the benefits of the Takaful insurance scheme that Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is offering to component party members as ‘too good to be true’.

He also pointed out that the annual premium of RM68.90 was also “very affordable.”

Yussibnosh added the offer was open to all component party members in GPS such as Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS), Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) and Progressive Democratic Party (PDP).

“The Takaful insurance scheme was launched in Kuching last Saturday (Oct 3),” he said when officiating at the Agriculture Community Outreach Programme (AgriCOP) at Kampung Petanak community hall here today.

Yussibnosh, who is also former Balingian assemblyman, said insurance claims would be paid in the event of death resulting from various causes.

He added the benefits provided by the insurance scheme, among others, included claim for hospitalisation, funeral expenses and wheelchairs.
