MIRI: Locals are advised not to believe fake news circulating that their Sarawakku Sayang Special Assistance (BKSS), Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN) and Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR) aid will be cut off if not claimed immediately.

Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin said this while observing the operation of counters at the Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) Miri and Permyjaya branches today (August 27).

He also said that the date to claim the payment of the assistance packages is valid until December 31 this year.

“Recipients of BKSS, BPN and BPR are encouraged to check their status online (https://bkss.sarawak.gov.my and https://bpr.hasil.gov.my) first,” said Lee.

The management teams at BSN Miri and Permyjaya also said that recipients can open a savings account at any BSN branch so that the assistance is credited automatically into their accounts.

Lee, who is also the minister in charge of the Miri Division Disaster Management Committee (DDMC), also reminded locals to continue to comply with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) even when they are fully vaccinated.
