Association Country Women of the World conference on July 5

KUCHING: A meeting between the Ministry of Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, and Association Country Women of the World (ACWW) was held on yesterday (June 24).

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the preparations for the 13th ACWW Area Conference for Southeast Asia and Far East.

ACWW also invited minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah to the opening ceremony of the conference on July 5.

The ACWW conference will be held for three days, from July 4-6 at Grand Margherita Hotel here, with the theme “Diversity Is Our Strength”.
The host of this year’s event is Sarawak Federation of Women’s Institute, and it is estimated that 33 non-governmental organisations, involving 176 women from the state and outside of Sarawak, will be participating.
