KUCHING: Kuching Spinal Injury Association (Kusia) received a RM10,000 grant from Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Chong Chieng Jen. Kusia president Jimmy
Siang received a cheque for the amount at a simple ceremony from Democratic Action Party (DAP) Batu Kitang branch chairma n Ab d u l A z i z Isa, who represented Chong, witnessed by Kusia
committee members.
Aziz, who is also DAP Socialist Youth (Dapsy) Sarawak publicity secretary, said the grant was given to Kusia for the Wheelchair Camp 2019 to be held at Samarahan Rehabilitation
Centre this Saturday.
Many activities will be held during the camp such as wheelchair maintenance skills workshop, wheelchair m a n a g e m e n t s k i l l s , wheelchair games (volleyball) and health talk by two medical officers from Sarawak General Hospital. The grant for Kusia was among those approved by Chong, who is also DAP Sarawak chairman, for several organisations in Kuching and Stampin.
