KUCHING: A total of 32 baskets of dried food and 400 packs of bubur lambuk (savoury porridge) were presented to the residents of Kampung Paya Mebi in conjunction with the month of Ramadan.

The donation was presented by the Sarawak Bumiputera Amateur Golf Association (PGABS) in a brief ceremony at the Al-Muhajirin Mosque, Kampung Paya Mebi.

Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang, who participated in the ceremony, expressed his appreciation to PGABS for the contribution presented.

“They celebrated the month of Ramadan together with the residents of Kampung Paya Mebi.

“This is from their hearts and it is something very special,” he said.

Meanwhile, PGABS president Irwan Zulkarnain Mohamad Hasbi when met by reporters said PGABS had previously donated food baskets and bubur lambuk to four villages in Kuching during Ramadan.

He pointed out that Kampung Paya Mebi is the fifth village to receive donations from PGABS.

For future activities, PGABS will present donations to several villages and other welfare homes, added Irwan.
