KUALA LUMPUR: The Education Ministry and Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd (Astro) have agreed on a collaboration to air the ministry’s educational television programme (TV Pendidikan) on Astro’s Tutor TV channels, beginning tomorrow.
The ministry in a statement today said the programme would be aired every Monday and Friday, on channels 601 (10 am to 11 am and 3 pm to 4 pm) and 603 (11 am to 12 pm and 4 pm to 5 pm).
“This initiative is to boost students’ access to learning material through an alternative platform, especially for those who have no internet facilities during and post movement control order (MCO),” according to the statement.
The programme can also be watched for free via the Astro GO application, with the schedule available on the ministry’s official portal at www.moe.gov.my, or social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (@KemPendidikan).
The TV Pendidikan programme has also been broadcast via TV Okey and Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) since April 6, to facilitate home-based learning for students, teachers and parents, particularly during the current challenging period. – Bernama
