KUCHING: Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) will be holding a ‘Kebersihan, Kecantikan dan Kejiranan Contoh (3K)’ competition with attractive prizes awaiting winners.

The competition is a collaboration with Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd as the main sponsor, as well the involvement of various agencies and departments as panel of judges.

Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs and DBKU) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi said the competition aimed to cultivate the spirit and importance of good hygiene among the community, especially in youngsters.

“It is one of DBKU’s initiatives to ensure that the city is clean, attractive and pleasant, by having inclusive involvement from the community,” he told the media on today.

Dr Abdul Rahman, who is also Assistant Utilities Minister (Water Supply), said the competition would be divided into three categories.

He also disclosed that DBKU would be organising a ‘Pagi Bebas Kenderaan 2021’ (vehicle free) programme in April.

“The programme will be held every Sunday on the first week of the month starting from 6am to 10am around Padang Merdeka.”
