KUCHING: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) Sports Centre and LEA Sports Centre (LSC) will be organising “Unimas Run 2017” for the second consecutive year on 29th October 2017, at Unimas Stadium, Kota Samarahan. It will be the biggest Unimas Run yet in terms of categories and prizes offered to the public.

The categories and fees are, Men and Women Open 25 KM (RM80), Institute of Higher Learning (IPT) Students/ High School Students 10 KM (RM60), Veteran Men 40- years-old and above and Women 35-years-old and above in 10 KM (RM60), and Fun Run Open in 5 KM category (RM55).
Unimas will be offering a total of RM29,000 cash prizes while Lea Sports Centre is offering a total of RM10,000 worth of Adidas Gift Vouchers including Special Adidas finisher T-Shirt for the winners specially for the 25 KM and 10 KM categories.
Various Adidas products have been lined up for the lucky draw section as well, bringing the total worth of support to more than RM35,000 inclusive of extravagant finisher medals, publicity, advertising and merchandise. In addi t ion to having the chances to win numerous prizes, participants will be geared up with an introductory workout session, courtesy of Level Up Fitness.
Revive Isotonic Drink will support this run event as the official Event Hydration Partner. According to Unimas’ Senior Assistant Registration Officer, Norhamimah Haji Buang, they are targeting 1,500 participants and the registration is currently ongoing throughout Sarawak “The registration forms are available at Unimas Sports Centre, LSC Wisma Hopoh, LSC Sarawak Plaza, LSC Kuching Sent ral , Adidas CityOne Megamall, LSC Wisma Sanyan Sibu, LSC Parkcity Shopping Mall Bintulu, and LSC Imperial Mall, Miri.
The forms are available online at Unimas Sports Centre portal at www.sports.unimas.my,” said Hamimah during a press conference at LSC Sarawak Plaza, Tuesday. Due to overwhelming response, the registration due date has been extended to October 20, 2017. The race pack collection is slated to be done on October 20 and October 21, 2017, at Unimas’ Stadium.
