MIRI: Committed to providing continuous learning, Pustaka Miri is providing digital audio access of nearly 4,000 book titles for children during the movement control order (MCO) period.
In a statement yesterday, the library said all these books could be accessed online anytime and anywhere as long as there was internet access.
“These audio reading materials are able to inculcate reading habits among children and are perfect alternatives for parents to use in reading stories to their children.” added the statement.
Parents and guardians also can access a wide variety of audio books from the Kids A-Z portal which can also be downloaded to mobile phones using the Kids A-Z app available at playstore or appstore application.
This application not only allow the user to listen to the story being read via audio, but parents can also record their own voice reading the book for their children at home.
For more information, users can visit the official website at www.u-pustaka.gov.my and register as member of u-pustaka straight away in order to allow access to the Kids A-Z portal.
It is hoped that this will help to enhance the children’s activities at home and inculcate the love of reading among children during the MCO period.
