KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg hosted two courtesy visits in his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia yesterday (Feb 22).

The visitors were Australian High Commissioner Dr Justin Lee and the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Kuching, Raden Sigit Witjaksono.

Lee’s visit – the first after his appointment as Australian High Commissioner in Malaysia on June 25 – was to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Malaysia and Australia hoping that such the relations would be beneficial to both countries.

As for Raden Sigit (after being appointed on Feb 14) he aimed to increase cooperation and maintain good relations between Indonesia and Sarawak.

Raden also took the opportunity to congratulate Abang Johari on his big win in the last state election.
