KOTA SAMARAHAN: Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said he was touched by the prayer recited by a frail former ‘penghulu’ (village head) he visited during the Ziarah Kasih programme in Kampung Sindang here today (April 2). He said that Aris Johari, 74, one of the villagers he visited under the programme, had recited a prayer for the prime minister to continue with efforts to help the people. “The prayers recited by ordinary people for leaders are extraordinary. Leaders like us always pray for our people to have good lives,” he said. He said this when speaking at a get-together with community leaders at the Institute of Teachers Education (IPG) Tun Abdul Razak Campus, which he attended after participating in the Ziarah Kasih programme.
