KUCHING: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan hopes that this year’s Chinese New Year (CNY) will continue to bring the community closer than ever, regardless of race and background.

He told reporters this after visiting iCube Innovation chairman Datuk Patrick CJ Liew’s open house this afternoon.

He stated that this being the Year of the Rabbit, things are different and we can now celebrate it together (without any restrictions).

“As usual, I hope that this year will be better than the previous year.

“I hope that unity among the community will continue to grow stronger, and I would like to wish a happy Chinese New Year to the community celebrating,” he said.

Meanwhile, Liew shared that the community is happy and excited and looks forward to this year’s CNY gathering to see their friends and families.

“We believe that excitement will bring ‘qi’ or energy, into this Year of the Rabbit.
