KUCHING: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan paid his last respects to the late Datuk Frederick Bayoi Manggie on Tuesday (Sept 22).
The late Bayoi was 77 years old when he passed away at his residence in Taman Pasir, Serian on Monday (Sept 21) at 8am. Prior to his death, he underwent treatments in Kuching for a while as he was suffering from various illnesses.
Bayoi served five terms as Kedup assemblyman and was a member of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) for 33 years but he resigned from the party in 2016.
Also present to pay his last respects to Bayoi was Assistant Minister of International Trade and Industry, Industry Terminal and Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais.
