The riders gather for a group photograph after the Pusak Itam Motorsports Club Kuching’s mini pocket bike race at Kuching Sentral, in Kuching recently.

KUCHING: Favourite rider, Awang Azizul Awang Kasuma became the champion of the Pusak Itam Motorsports Club Kuching’s mini pocket bike race.

He defeated his closest rival, Abdul Shahrul Muazam to second place in the final round held at Kuching Sentral recently.

Another rider, Daryl Patrick Alvinson Patrick settled for third place.

Meanwhile, Abang Shahrul won the Under 15 years Closed category.

Two challengers, Awang Aziziul and Haziq Danial Badul were in second and third respectively.

In the Beginners category, the title went to Azizi Sulaiman, as Farish Danial and Areeil Danish Abdul Rahim in second and third respectively.

A total of 23 riders competed in the three-category race event.

All the winners received trophies, certificates and hampers.

For fourth to 13th placing, the finishers received a certificate and a medal each.

It was the first ever race organised by the Parti Bumiputera (PBB) Youth Branch of Batu Kitang in collaboration with Pusak Itam Motorsports Club Kuching and Kuching Sentral.
