KUCHING: Angkatan Zaman Mansang (AZAM) Sarawak has appointed Ali Suhaili as its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective immediately.

In a statement, AZAM said Ali’s forty years of service in the public sector brings invaluable experience and a strong dedication to community development to his new role.

“Since he began his career in April 1981, Ali’s trajectory has been defined by unwavering dedication and exceptional leadership,” it said.

AZAM pointed out from his tenure as an external officer to his role as a district and divisional information officer, Ali has left an indelible mark on the communities he has served.

“Ali’s appointment has garnered unanimous approval from AZAM’s board members in a recent meeting.

“Leveraging his extensive experience and adept networking skills, this strategic move is poised to unleash AZAM’s potential in spearheading modern communication development in Sarawak, aligning seamlessly with the state’s progressive agenda,” Azam said in a statement.

Ali succeeds Lelia Sim Ah Hua, whose tenure concluded on April 26.
