KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received two courtesy calls from delegations at his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia yesterday.

The first was from National Unity Minister Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique who led a delegation from her ministry for an official visit to Sarawak this week. The courtesy call was also the first from the minister since appointed to office last March.

Also present during the visit were State Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah and National Unity Deputy Minister Datuk Seri Tan Lian Ker.

Joining the delegation were National Unity Ministry director general Datuk Hisamuddin Mohd Sujak, secretary-general Datuk Wan Suraya Wan Md Radzi and deputy secretary general Mazlan Abdul Mutalib — they were joined by Sarawak National Unity director Dirwana Azool.

Later in the day, Abang Johari received a similar call from MYTV Broadcasting Sdn Bhd led by its group chief executive officer K. Chelvakumar.

The purpose of the visit was to brief the chief minister on the digital terrestrial television programme by the group.

Also present were MYTV Broadcasting Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Mazlan Mahdi and vice president of content Mohd Mokhtar Abdul Rahman.

Representing Sarawak Media Group during the visit were its executive director and chief executive officer Sarbini Hamdan, director Hasmawati Sapawi and head of commercial Jason Sim.
