KUCHING: The Miri Youth Association (PBM) has donated 1,000 packs of food supply to victims of the recent flood in Baram.

Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau expressed his gratitude towards the association for its concern over the fate of those who are in need.

“If we look in terms of the affected number of people, we cannot provide that much, but with a touch like this is enough to raise the spirit of our community. I would like to thank PBM once again for its action,” he said when met after witnessing the handing over of the food items to flood victims in Kampung Wireless today (May 27).

A total of four tonnes of food supply were distributed to 393 units of longhouses in Kampung Long Kasseh, Long Nakan and Long Loteng starting today (May 27) until tomorrow (May 28).

Dennis added that a list of damaged houses and public facilities has been submitted to the district office for further action.

Also present at the handover ceremony were Miri Youth Association chairman Matassan Rohani and Miri City Council councillor Dominic Nyurang Ajang.
