KUCHING: The Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), which has been chosen as a vaccination centre (PPV), is expecting to serve up to 4,000 people per day, with the potential to expand to up to 10,000.

BCCK executive director Tan Sri Datuk Amar Wilson Baya Dandot said BCCK was honoured to be chosen as a PPV, from June 7 to Oct 31.

“We are ready to become an active part of the solution in Sarawak’s efforts to flatten the curve and return the state to safety as well as normalcy.

“To avoid complications on the day, a trial run will be carried out from June 3 to 6, with vaccinations officially beginning on June 7.

“We are working closely with the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) and Ministry of Health (MoH) to ensure that the centre is prepared to serve the public safely and efficiently,” he said today.

He added that mandatory safety precautions, including physical distancing, temperature checks and MySejahtera scanning at entrances as well as frequent sanitising would be in place.
