KUCHING: Road users have been advised to be more cautious while driving along the road leading to the Matang Wildlife Centre here as the Public Works Department (JKR) is carrying out maintenance work at the area following a landslide that occurred last Sunday (Dec 22).
Road users are urged to be patient and cooperative until the clearing works are completed as there are no suitable alternative routes available.
“Road users are advised to also comply with traffic management for their safety, especially when the road is completely closed,” JKR Kuching Division said in a statement yesterday.
The landslide occurred when part of a nearby hillslope collapsed following continuous rain since the day before.
No casualties were reported from the incident.
