KUCHING: The Sarawak Health Department (JKNS) is urging visitors entering Sarawak to fill the EnterSarawak form and submit the electronic health declaration form (eHDF).

In the daily Covid-19 update statement issued by the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today, JKNS stressed that failure and refusal to do so would curtail efforts to break the coronavirus chain in the country.

“We appeal to all passengers or visitors who wish to enter Sarawak to make a right and true declaration regarding the place or state that had been visited within 14 days before the flight or entry into Sarawak.

“Individuals who fail to adhere and who violate standard operating procedure and guidelines set by the state government can be charged under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988.”

Yesterday, SDMC revealed that Case 723, a local man who arrived at Kuching International Airport from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA 1) on Oct 3, was found breaching SOP.

“Based on the information from the eHealth Declaration system, the case had failed to declare travel to Sabah in the past 14 days.”
