KUCHING: Those who have been forced to stay in bed due to sickness and other reasons can readily attest to both the mental and physical pain brought about by their confinement.

These same people would also easily empathise with others who cannot get out of bed because of extreme physical disabilities or some debilitating illness.

One such person who seems to easily sympathise with others who are less fortunate is Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii. This is the main reason why he is always quick to respond to his constituents who need help.

A bedridden man in Jakar, 66-year-old Su Yew Hing, was the latest beneficiary of his benevolence.

When he heard through his Repok Service Centre about Su’s plight, he quickly directed that a special bed be donated to him.

As Huang could not hand over the bed personally, Penghulu Huang Tiong Kang represented him in handing out the bed to Su.
