MUKAH: The Mukah Chinese Benevolent Society presented ang pow (cash gifts) to 21 less fortunate individuals at a simple ceremony here yesterday.
Its chairman Yeo Tiong Ing and several of the society’s committee members handed out the donations to the recipients.
The charity was made in conjunction with the coming Chinese New Year celebration which falls on Jan 25.
It was also part of the annual activity of the local Chinese non-governmental organisation (NGO) since its inception many years ago.
