KUCHING: Ramadan is the Holy Month in the Muslim calendar. Hence, in conjunction with Ramadan this year, the Sarawak Islamic Information Centre (SIIC) is collaborating with Spativate, Kuching Waterfront, Riseap, Hikmah Sarawak, CATS FM and Utusan Sarawak to hold a Berbuka Puasa open event together with members of the public from diverse race and religion.
To be called SIIC Sungkey, the programme will be held at the Kuching Waterfront today (May 18) from 6pm.
This is the 10th consecutive year that SIIC holds a joint Berbuka Puasa event with members of the media and the Kuching community, irrespective of race and religion. Hosted by SIIC, the programme is in line with the centre’s main objective of disseminating information and understanding on Islam through various activities and interaction with the local community.
