Pribumi Sarawak leadership committee (BPN) head Jaziri Alkaf Suffian said the party has also appointed six division heads in the parliamentary constituencies of Santubong, Stampin, Kota Samarahan, Sri Aman, Saratok and Bintulu.

Bersatu, which is a component party of Pakatan Harapan (PH) federal government, was launched in Bintulu on December 1, 2018 by its national chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Since then Bersatu Sarawak has established its state headquarters in Kuching and a regional office in Bintulu to serve the northern region.

Both offices function as an administrative centre to manage Bersatu’s activities in Sarawak including membership drive, management of socio-economic and other development programmes.

The party will announce its executive committee members by the end of this month, said Jaziri, in a statement yesterday.

He added that the party is poised to play a role in building a new Sarawak and spearheading the movement for a shared prosperity to benefit the people of Sarawak.
