PUSA: The trust given by the Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and the Sarawak government for the Beting Maro area to be developed with the industry of nipah and pineapples should be fully utilised.

State assemblyman Beting Maro Razaili Gapor said that Beting Maro and Pusa districts are located in the state’s food basket area; therefore, they have the potential to be successful.

“The chief minister gave us confidence to design the development of the nipah and pineapple industry.

“This is a big opportunity for us to develop the agricultural and agro food sector… and I am confident our future in this area is very bright,” he said at Jom Berambeh @ Batang Lupar parliamentary ‘Kamek Sayang Sarawak’ programe at Dataran Tandang Sari, today.

Razaili further said the government was providing a huge allocation for the purpose.

“For us in the Pusa district, this is a long-awaited opportunity, and if there is a chance shown, it should not be allowed to pass us by,” he said.

Razali went on to tell the people to continue supporting the state government, saying the leaders had clear direction to advance the state by 2030.

“That’s why we want the people to support the leadership of Abang Johari. We know we are going in the right direction, which will ensure the Land of the Hornbill will be prosperous and the people live in peace and harmony,” he said.
