BETONG: The Betong Divisional Development Agency (BDDA) will submit a list of projects worth more than RM800 million to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg on Jan 13.

Its chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said the agency has finalised the list of projects to be submitted to Abang Johari.

“We already have a list of projects, but we cannot announce them today because we will present them to Abang Johari first.

He said this when met by Suara Sarawak after chairing the BDDA Steering Committee Meeting at the Betong Division Resident’s Office, yesterday.

Uggah, who is Deputy Premier, said with an agency like BDDA that is allocated large funds (RM1.5 billion), it is easy for elected representatives to plan for projects which can improve the people’s living standards.

“Our commitment is to ensure all development projects are arranged in an organised manner, in line with the goal of making the people in Betong Division high income earners by 2030.
