KUCHING: The residents of Tusok and Sebayang in the Kuala Rajang state constituency will soon benefit from improved infrastructure and facilities in the area.
Assistant Urban Development and Natural Resources Minister Datuk Len Talif Salleh said a bund road from Rumah Bangga, Tusok to Rumah Saung Kampung Sebayang, Tanjung Manis had been completed.
“The project was funded fully by the Kuala Rajang assemblyman’s Rural Transformation Project (RTP) grants.
“The road spans 1.3km and was built at a cost of RM350,000. It was completed four months ahead of schedule,” he said in a Facebook post on Wednesday (Oct 6).
Meanwhile, other projects that had been implemented were the upgrading of the bund road from the intersection of Rumah Baki to Rumah Johnny costing RM150,000.
He added that this was along with the upgrading of the bund road and the preparation of a new site for Rumah Lema costing RM250,000.
At the same time, the Kampung Sebayang Multipurpose Hall car park project and telecommunication tower are also being implemented.
Earlier, Len held a meeting with committee members of the Kuala Rajang Islamic Welfare Board.
There, he presented special education contributions to 14 children of Kuala Rajang residents.
