Beware of parcel delivery scam calls

KUCHING: J&T Express Sarawak has warned the public to be aware of scams where callers would claim to be its staff and request customers to make online payments for parcel delivery.

The courier service, in an announcement on Facebook today (Oct 5), informed the public that the company did not accept online transactions prior to item delivery for cash on delivery (COD) parcels.

“We would like to advise our customers to take precautions and avoid entertaining this sort of message.

“If you do, however, receive such a message, we urge you not to respond or reveal your personal details to unknown senders who claim to be from our company,” it said.

It also urged the public to report to J&T Express at 1300-80-9000, 03-92129660 or via live chat at https://www.jtexpress.my/ if they come across any scam or suspicious calls

“We apologise for this unpleasant matter and thank you for your understanding. Be smart and wise,” said J&T Express Sarawak.
