KUCHING: Promising to be bigger and better this year, the nation’s favourite Big Bad Wolf Book Sale will be at Mydin Petra Jaya from April 25 to May 5.

The 11-day event opens from 10am until 12am daily with free entrance. Known for its tempting discounts of 75 to 95 percent off its recommended retail price, customers will be able to find a variety of books in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Customers can expect to find bestsellers, young adult titles, children’s books, romance, sci-fi, crime, thriller, books on business, arts and design, cook books and many more at the sale.

“We are answering the call of our fans in East Malaysia by bringing the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale to them this year. We understand that many are unable to visit our annual sale due to the distance. In an effort to further strengthen our commitment to make affordable books accessible, we are really happy that we are able to be in Kuching again with better selection of books and a larger variety as well,” said Andrew Yap, founder of the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale through a press statement yesterday.

Aside from that, parents can also expect to find augmented reality (AR) books at the event. The Little Hippo AR books, also known as the ‘magic book’ can assist in a child’s learning as they are able to interact, read, play and learn using its cutting-edge technology to revolutionise reading for young ones.

The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale will also be bringing education books from over 40 local publishers such as Kualiti Books, Sasbadi, PTS and Pelangi, all at discounted prices as well. Aside from that, customers can also get Malaysian novels by Buku Fixi, Lejen Press, DuBook Press and Iman Publication.

This year, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm – the Red Readerhood Programme (RRH) will be partnering up with Barefoot Mercy.

Selling more than just books, customers can also purchase badges, magnets and Big Bad Wolf merchandise at the sale.
