Djurmasih is being rushed to Miri Hospital where she later died.

MIRI: A woman who was riding pillion on a motorcycle died of her injuries after a collision with a car at Telang Usan roundabout here early this morning.

State police traffic investigation and enforcement chief, Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, said the woman was a 47-year-old Indonesian, Djurmasih Soroso.

She was taken unconscious to Miri hospital where she died eight hours later.

“The deceased was pronounced dead at 2pm on the same day,” said Alexson.

According to him the motorcycle was travelling from the city centre towards Luak Bay while the car came from the opposite direction.

“The car struck the motorcycle inside the roundabout,” he said.

Amazingly the rider and the car driver were unharmed.

The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
