KUCHING: A motorcyclist broke his right leg when his bike rear-ended a lorry at Jalan Bau-Batu Kawa at 3.50pm on Saturday.

The 27-year-old victim was on the way to his house at Kampung Atas Singai from his workplace in Samarahan.

Bau District police chief DSP Poge Nyaon who confirmed the case said the collision occurred at a junction.

“Besides breaking his leg the man also suffered other bodily injuries.

“As for the 39-year-old lorry driver, he was unharmed,” he said.

Poge added the biker was taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) after the accident, and the case is being investigated under Section 43(1)(A) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
